Took my new GoPro camera out to Withrop for two days skiing. Edited straight without color correction.

Had a great time skiing 53k, over the weekend.

Saturday on the community trail with freshly groomed new snow (faceted in places would compact under weighted ski). Temps in the 20s with the sun popping out from the clouds in places.

Part 1 of 3.

Freezing rain Saturday night left a nice quarter inch glaze over sidewalks, vehicles, and the trails making for some fast skiing. Temps in the low 30s.
Skiied loops off the Winthrop Trail and Powers Plunge.

Fresh snow with good tracks made for a different more wintery feel than last year.

Juneau was a great dog.  Lots of fun and never took himself too seriously.  Loyal, lovable, protective, sturdy and yet cuddily. I think of Juneau when I think of the best attributes of doghood. He will be missed.

Lucked out with a break in the weather for a run up and back from Melakwa Lake on Snoqualmie Pass on Sunday. The inclement weather kept down the crowds and the Melakwas (mosquitoes).
